This groundbreaking achievement is a testament to the dedication, passion, and resilience of 18 young athletes, aged 12 to 14, from Galway and Kerry. Under the expert guidance of coaches Fiona Collumb and Kelly Gilmore, with support from Dominika Wisniewska, these talented individuals demonstrated remarkable skill and determination on the world stage. Their journey, spanning from their first appearance at the event in 2011 to this historic podium finish, is a story of unwavering commitment.
Adding even more to the celebrations, Team Ireland’s All Girl Elite squad achieved an incredible 7th-place finish—the highest placement ever for an Irish senior team at ICU Worlds! 🇮🇪✨ This talented team, made up of 17 athletes from Galway, Killarney, Enniskillen, and Belfast, was led by coaches Fiona Collumb and Cara Watson, with support from Joan Heaps.
This is truly a history-making moment for Team Ireland—a moment built on years of hard work, grit, and a relentless belief in their dreams. It is long overdue recognition of their tireless dedication to the sport and firmly places Ireland on the global cheerleading map.
