Hey Guys

The new cheer season  is soon upon us Here are some tips and trick CFHTT has gather to make sure you have amazing season

Every season review and revise your emergency plans.

Recheck your emergency plans and make sure all the things you need  are in place.  We would personally make our team resubmit there in case of emergency forms every season. You’ll need to know important personal and medical information about each of your athletes, and you’ll have to come up with a detailed plan of action in the event athlete gets hurt. Before you do anything, make sure you sort out what to do in case of an emergency,  make sure all you staff are up to date..

Review your past season

Every season watch your routines back and see what worked and what didn’t, furthermore see how you could improve this. Secondly watch you competition routines  and examine to see what other people are doing and  make sure you programme can not only keep up with others  but surpasses them.

Reflect

On what your team and parent have said and try to understand thing from their point of view.Following on from that Try to get an idea of what you would like to achieve this year this could anything from competing at three competitions to making sure your programme have all the basic stunt technique down.

Sort out your budget

Cheerleading is expensive, so as coach/ committee you have to sort out the budget for the season.  This includes travel, overnight stays, training, competitions, clinics, extra training , kit and all the boring administration stuff.  Parent and team members will want to know at the being of the season how much the season is going to cost so they can make decision if they would like to commit to this sport and team. Being badly organise let down you whole team and reflect badly on your programme money doesn’t grown on tree and people will be resentful if you keep asking for more and more  money which they hadn’t budgeted for.

Compulsory beginning of the season meeting

Hold a compulsory  beginning of the season parent and althele  meeting.  Use this time to go over what your expectations are, how you will run your program, the amount of money they can expect to spend, and what dates they need to mark off on their calendars.  This way people can commit being aware of what is expect of them.

Be Organized

The more organized you are now the easier it will be to stay organized for the entire season. The more you can prepare in advanced  the calmer you will be when the cheer season arrives.

Have a backup plan

We plan and organize for a safe, well balanced season. But as we all know, thing happen and plans fall apart you have to adapt and move forward .Think ahead and plan for the unexpected beforehand  so your team is left strained .

Have good sportsmanship

Good sportsmanship begins with the coach. Teach your Allstar teams to accept their placement–whether first or last–with elegance. The most amazing and awful thing about cheerleading is anything can happen on the matt. Few teams perform perfectly, and disappointing as it is, its apart of the sport we love and keeps us humble. Good sportsmanship starts at training and beings at the first training session.

We hope this is useful comment with you tips for a successful season.
