Hi guys, If you’re like us you’re upset that all Cheerleading competition since March have been cancelled .
So many people have been upset that FC nationals was canceled because they treat it like a mini holiday, Cheer mums you know what we’re saying!
Here at CFHTT decided to celebrate this weekend by showing you all our favourite routines from FC Nationals throughout the years.

As you all know my cheerleading journey started at University so I wasn’t aware of Allstar Cheer. Going to Future Cheer Nationals was like going to a new world but I instantly knew, I wanted to be apart of it.
1: Ascension Eagles Legacy 2011
When I saw Ascension Eagles Legacy, I couldn’t believe there were from the UK, they could tumble like the American teams I had seen on Youtube and it was the first time, I ever saw Black flyers. I was in awe of them, speechless and a little in shock.
2: GOLDSTAR Galaxy: 2011
This routine left me in shock. I was amazed to see the type of stunting I only have seen on YouTube in real life. Whilst watching this routine all I thought was “they are the UK World Cup Shooting Stars.” I love their music and their choreography was insane it was like it was a musical.
3:North London Wildcats: 2011
I loved the choreography of this routine, at the time I thought it was so creative and the whole vibe of the routine just made we want to watch them. Also, I wanted their uniform, having your stomach out and the half up half down hair was so different to me.
4: Ascension Prophecy :2018
I loved this routine because it was so solid and clean. All the moves were executed to perfection and the flyers sold it to me visually.
The choreography was hard but they made it look easy, the routine was a pleasure to watch.
5: SA Supreme Jazz ;2017
They perform to the legendary song – And I am telling you I’m not going sang by Jennifer Hudson. This is a song I’m obsessed with and when I heard that first beat of the music. I was already emotionally invested in the routine.
The way these ladies perform was so emotive it oozes out of them like they were dancing for the lives. I literally felt there performance and I had never experienced that before they took my breath away.
Honourable mentions
Bournemouth Elite Ice: 2017
I love this routine because of their glow in the dark shoes. It was fun and different and really good the crowd excited.
JC Glitter white 2016: The room was electric, the more these ladies perform the more the crowd grew in excited. I love being apart of that atmosphere the JC supporters are a pleasure to be around they are a party in themselves.
Dc49 level 5 : 2012
Love the routine it so fun and their point flyer was insanely flexible. I wanted to be her.
Surrey Starlets Plum : 2012
This stunt group could do no wrong in my eyes they were flawless. Their routines always looked effortless and that’s what I loved about this group.
Coventry Dynamite level 5 partner stunt: 2013
This stunt group was so solid it looked like the flyer was performing on the ground. I also love her performance she flys with so much passion.
Crimson Heat Tigers – Vengeance: 2019
The timing and flexibility are what made me fall in love with this routine. This team move like they were as one.

Rachel’s top picks
It was very difficult to choose just 5 of my favourite Bournemouth routines. There is so much talent up and down the UK. Every competition I attend I put new teams on my radar as I’m always impressed by what I see on the mat. It’s great to see the community growing from strength to strength!
1: Gold Star Galaxy: 2011
Gold Star are notorious for having incredible choreography, high energy and intricate pyramids. They have some ICONIC routines. My favourite has to be 2011. I love the creativity of both the jump section and pyramid! It’s difficult for larger teams to have perfect timing. That’s why it’s so impressive when it works out
2:Unity Allstar Black 2012
I love Level 7 cheer (then Level 6). There are so many fantastic international Level 7 teams out there, we just haven’t been able to master the level here in the UK just yet. So that makes what Black did back in 2012 all the more impressive!
3:Crimson Heat – Junior 1 2017
UK Cheer has come so far with so many genuinely impressive Level 5-7 teams. We often forget about Level 1, and just how tough it is to base at prep level! Not only did this team make history and win at the Summit, they reminded us just how creative Level 1 stunting has become!
4:Rising Stars – Blackout 2018
I’ve definitely snuck this team in, is as they didn’t compete at Bournemouth. HOWEVER, they definitely deserve a mention. Before watching this routine, I was never really blown away by Level 4. This was a team made up of such strong athletes, such passion, experience and a love of cheer. I would pay to watch this routine again!
5:Coventry Dynamite – Bomb 5quad :2019
Having been on a non-tumbling team myself, I know the importance choreography and a strong dance in these routines. Bomb 5quad’s dance was EPIC. There was SO MUCH energy on the floor. Bourny may not have been their greatest run, but they definitely deserved the bid they won at Jamfest!

Millie’s Top picks
1: Stars Elite Diamonds: 2014
- This was my first year winning nationals with Stars Elite Diamonds and it was an incredible feeling. We had worked so hard as a team together all season and it just felt like it was our time. We put everything we had into it and hit. Coming off the mat at nationals after a hit was unforgettable, making your team and coaches proud and coming together as one is what it’s all about, and then finding out we were national champions was the icing on the cake. It was a routine and moment I will never forget.
ps in this video you can see Millie in action she’s and all a-rounder, Stunting, tumbling and flying she can do it all.
2: Coventry Dynamite – Ignite: 2014
- I feel like this routine is one that will never be forgotten. I think it was the first time I had properly seen Ignite compete and I was blown away. The timing, technique and showmanship was so good. The partner stunt and tumble really stood out for me and of course the confetti cannons can’t be forgotten. I feel like they created an atmosphere for the whole arena and it got everyone excited.
3:Unity Black:2012
- This routine blew my mind. This was the first ever Bournemouth nationals I had attended and my first season in the cheer world. I had never seen cheerleading like it before and I just remember watching the routine, especially the baskets and thinking wow, that’s so cool, that’s what I want to do.
4: Coventry Dynamite Lady Grenades: 2015
- I think this routine was really what made me want to try out to become a Lady Grenade. I saw it and just thought that team looks amazing, the sass and skills are something I want to be a part of, that’s a team I want to go to Worlds with. I thought the routine was really captivating and inspiring. It really solidified for me that I was going to try out to be a Lady Grenade and set me up for my world’s journey which I will forever be thankful for.
5:Bournemouth Elite senior coed 3 :2013
I really liked this routine. I think the flyers facial expressions and motions were really captivating and I enjoyed the structure of the routine. I think a lot of effort and creativity went into the stunts, tumbles and routine as a whole and the athletes showed it off well. I remember watching it and when it finished, I thought to myself yeah that was really good, I liked that.

Molly’s top pick
1:Coventry Dynamite Lady Grenades :2017
This routine was so creative and had so much energy! I loved the layout into pyramid and dance was so sassy.
2: Ice Heat Junior Level 2 :2017
The timing and synchronicity in this routine was absolutely perfect. The opening stunt canon perfectly timed to the tumbler was beautiful. So hard for a large team to keep uniform and they pulled it off perfectly.
3:Zodiac Allstars Shadow Int level 1 :2019
This team blows me away every time I see them. The flexibility, the synchronicity and the discipline while on the floor is just incredible.
4 :RSD Leading Ladies Pom: 2018
RSD Leading Ladies always try to bring something new every season, and this year was my absolute favourite. The routine was so cleanly choreographed and the pom colour change reveal was perfect!
5: Phoenix Allstars Adaptive Abilities Smoke :2019
Forgive me I’m biased, but this team blew me away. The only Adaptive Abilities team on the floor they gave it their all and pulled out a beautiful routine showcasing what they could do.
So gutted FC wont be going ahead but it was nice to reminisce.

Emma’s top picks
1:ADA Dark Angels – Suicide Squad Hip Hop :2017
Nothing short of a masterpiece. The acting was next level and that was only second to the best story in hip hop choreography I’ve ever seen in the UK. We will skip over the fact the varied hip hop styles showcased and technique are flawless, that the speed and complexity of the choreography was mind blowing – you get that with any ADA routine. What’s special with this one was how much every dancer excelled in selling the story and clearly having the time of their life doing so. There was a confidence with this routine I’ve never felt anywhere else. I felt like I’d gone to the west end for 2 minutes. I’ve paid for shows that fell flat in comparison to this. That’s how good this was and to be honest I challenge all of you to show me something that will top this to watch in person!
2: Sharon Ann Academy of Cheer & Dance – SA Supreme Jazz :2017
Utter power and perfection. This routine was competed at Bournemouth twice and the latter is one of the indisputable standout performances of the decade through the passion and acting displayed on the top of an already action packed routine. You’re just hit with technical perfection and power every few seconds. Beautiful layering and formation changes? Tick. Fouettes? So exciting – start with turning spots casually put into a very unassuming bit of music because the fouettes get even cooler from here on out. Dramatic and gorgeous floor work? Yesssss. In love with the cannoned surprise side leap and the timing of the front aerial. You can taste the drama and the atmosphere in the room that day was el-ect-ric.
3: RSD Leading Ladies – Jazz :2019
Mainly making the list because of the entrance. Leading Ladies know how to have fun and this entrance perfectly capitalises the fun, energetic but competitive nature at Bournemouth. The actual routine after was a stunner of a routine too, fun and technically a showstopper. Choreography is so fun and sassy you can tell the girls are having the best time dancing it. The opening level changes to highlight the skills such as the double double pirouette and turning tilt gives me actual shivers and the costume turning into a prop midway through gives it that show and flare. Definitely a Bournemouth highlight!
4:Goldstar Galaxy – Pom 2018.
Pretty much every Goldstar routine is one to watch. I often go to the dance rooms on the Sunday at Bournemouth to marvel at just how great the younger teams are. The atmosphere of watching Galaxy compete at Bournemouth though is unrivalled. You know when they’re about to walk onstage, you hear the noise from the other side of the awards hall. There is an energy unlike any other when they’re in the room. 2018 I was lucky to be close enough to see it well and Galaxy that year was incredible. So much power and skill, beautifully visual lifts, seamless transition changes and their 2018 uniforms were probably my favourite yet. Goals. You don’t forget something like that.
5:RSD Leading Ladies – Chess Pom 2018.
I was obsessed with the Chess routine when I saw it at worlds and I was so excited to see it in person at Bournemouth. I adored the Queens turn sequence, the patterns with the leotards, the sneaky pom swap mid cartwheel and the pink pom reveal at the end. Shivers all the way through – and chanting along with the cool voiceovers!
