Hi Athletes,
On November 1st in Disneyland Paris Athletes from across Europe and other continents come to compete at European Open Championship. This competition is for Athletes who have the desire to compete at the top level with superb atheletes in an electric atmosphere.
“Cheer divisions in different levels and three different age groups are offered. Dance teams can also choose between the three different divisions Cheer Pom, Jazz and Hip Hop. Also partner stunt and group stunt divisions are available. The judges panels will include well trained international judges from all over the world”. – EliteBrands
Steven Pop former Unity Black Allstars cheerleader will be representing us again on Team England at Worlds 2015. Attending the European Open Championship in Disneyland Paris, Steven competed in the Individual Senior division against 6 other athletes and left as the champion. It was great to see such a talented athlete represent the UK with such powerful precision and charisma. We are proud to have an athlete of such calibre representing the UK.
Steven was required to perform a 1 minute and 30 seconds routine. The routine was judged on following skills:
- 3 Jump sequences
- 2 Running tumbling passes
- 1 Standing tumbling sequence
- 1 Cheer or dance lasting no longer than 30 seconds.
Steven Pop nailed his individual routine with the flare and confidence we have learnt to expect from this athlete.
Martin & Fer were also at this competition. Martin & Fer are the famous Partner Student Team representing Costa Rica who attended Worlds 2014. Their partner stunt sequence at Worlds was breath taking and had the crowd was on their feet. It was an honour to have them compete at European Open Championship.
Another highlight of the European Open Championship is that if you compete in the below divisions you automatically qualify for the International UCA All Star Championship in the following year in the USA.

- Junior Allgirl Cheer Elite
- Junior Coed Cheer Elite
- Peewee Cheer
- Senior Allgirl Groupstunt

- Senior Coed Partnerstunt
The following divisions at The European Open will qualify for the World School Cheer Dance Championship in the following year:
- Senior Cheer Pom
- Senior Hip Hop
- Senior Jazz
- Junior Cheer Pom
- Junior Hip Hop
- Junior Jazz
- Peewee Cheer Pom
- Peewee Hip Hop
- Peewee Jazz
This is such a great opportunity for an athlete to go and compete in America against some of the top athletes in the world.
