BCA TO AWARD CASH PRIZES AT 2013 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Bca have just announced that they will be awarding cash prizes at 2013, this is so amazing. This will give squads the opportunity to spend money on equipment ,coaches or training camps. I also think, it may bring new squads to Bca  because they may think they can get the cash prizes.

Following a decision by the International Allstar Federation (IASF) the British Cheerleading Association (BCA) will now be awarding club Bids to the 2014 USASF/IASF World Cheerleading and Dance Championships at the Midland Classic competition on July 20th & 21st in Telford, instead of at our National Championships in March, as previously advised.

We understand that this may change the competition season for your squad. In light of this BCA are also pleased to announce that we will now be awarding up to £4,500 to competing squads at our National Championships in March 2013. These monetary awards will be distributed to assist in the development and support of cheerleaders at all skill levels.

These awards will be £500 each for the highest scoring Cheer routine in Levels – 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and the highest scoring routine in Dance Styles – Pom, Hip Hop and Jazz.

There will also be Grand Champion awards to the overall highest scoring routine in both Cheer and Dance.

The awards can be used to purchase equipment, training, International Competition Entry Fees until July 2014.

If single divisions occur at any level the routine must score at least 75% of total available points to qualify for the award.

Group Stunts divisions do not qualify.
