Hey guys
So I heard Future cheer Saturday night 2012 was amazing!!!!!!!!!!
The standard of University cheer has improved leaps and bounds. I remember the days of wobbly lib and your team tumble being a forward roll and one person doing round off back hand spring with a big cheer from the crowd those days are gone………. long gone. From the videos I have seen the standard is not far behind all-stars this makes me so happy to see the vast improvement. Too think that universities are really trying to push the boundaries in there level and not only max out there score sheet but be and creative with the rules.
Team tumbles have really improved with a lot of members throwing good tumble passes. They were lot of back hand spring and lot of back hand spring back tucks. In a few years we will have teams all doing a back hand spring as a team tumble, can’t wait.
Following on from this a few squads have new uniforms which are more all-star style, Birmingham pussycats and RH tom Cats to name a few. This will sounds strange but I prefer the more traditional collegiate style cheer uniform for university cheer squads. This is because I feel that university uniforms need to be bit more versatile because you will do many different things as cheerleaders at university e.g. game day, charity events, performances, visiting the elderly, tour, and so much more. People expect to see certain thing when they think of cheerleaders then once you have them in the palm of your hand you show them a world’s video and watch their eyes light up with excitement and then the hard work beings.
Amazing moments of the weekend was unity performing their routine and the music cutting out and them still performing as if it was on. The crowd started counting and at that moment it was a real cheer community it was amazing.
Another was Birmingham pussycats there routine was amazing and RH Tom cats got grand champ
All I can say is I’m loving where cheer is going
